Greater Lansing Potters' Guild Fall Sale

More than 30 local potters will be featured, offering a wide variety of wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery pieces fired using raku, soda, low fire salt, oxidation and reduction techniques. A large selection of mugs, bowls, casseroles, teapots, platters and planters as well as jewelry, sculpture and wall hangings will be for sale.

Elder HeART Tours for People Living with Memory Loss, Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia, and Those Who Care for Them

Carefully designed tours led by specially trained docents stimulate lively, thoughtful conversations in this fun, social, creative and meaningful outing to the museum. Elder HeART invite participants and caregivers to observe, interpret, enjoy, and share their thoughts about art and life from many cultures, time periods and artistic points of view.

Hold off on your purchase of the new Nook reader, books, CDs, DVDs, and cafˇ items - save your gift purchases for Thanksgiving weekend! Barnes & Noble will generously donate a portion of sale proceeds from November 26-28, 2010 to Kresge Art Museum to be used for Creative Kids Summer Art Camp scholarships and school bus subsidies that allow students to travel to the art museum. You donÕt need to spend extra to support the art museum!

Also, special events and programs will be held at Barnes & Noble on Sunday, November 28th from 2-4 pm. Art museum educator Cari Wolfe will lead a hands-on weaving craft that children can take home and Professor Xia Gao from Michigan State University's Apparel & Textile Design program will demonstrate screen print techniques on greeting cards. Museum Docents will be on hand to gift wrap all store purchases for free!

Book fair vouchers will be available online on our Website, in hard copy at Kresge Art Museum, and at Barnes & Noble on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.

Patrons may also shop online in support of Kresge Art Museum at www.bn.com/bookfairs. Transactions must be made from Friday, November 26 through Friday, December 3, 2010 and include the Bookfair voucher ID #10348159 on the payment page during checkout.
